Easter Monday 2024 Countdown

Easter Monday is the second day of Easter and a public holiday. In Western Christianity, it marks the second day of the Octave of Easter, while in Eastern Christianity, it’s known as “Bright Monday” or “Renewal Monday.” In the Eastern Orthodox Church and Byzantine Rite Catholic Churches, services on this day, and throughout Bright Week, differ significantly from the rest of the year. These services, resembling those on Pascha (Easter Sunday), include an outdoor procession after the Divine Liturgy. While such processions are prescribed for the entire week, they are often celebrated prominently on Easter Monday.
