Victoria Day 2024 Countdown

Victoria Day, a federal Canadian public holiday, honors Queen Victoria, the “Mother of Confederation.” Observed on the last Monday before May 25, it originally commemorated Victoria’s natural birthday on May 24, dating back to at least 1845. Falling between the 18th and 24th, it is always the second-to-last Monday of May. Victoria Day is a federal statutory holiday and observed in six provinces and all three territories.
